Cloud Save Failure

We're sorry that you're having problems with your Alto's Odyssey saved game.  Unfortunately, we don't have any way to access the former saved games on your device. Alto's uses cloud save functionality but if it didn't work automatically, the only way to troubleshoot would be if you had access to your old save on a device. There is a chance that your cloud save exists but that the game just hasn’t retrieved it yet.

You can check to see if there is any cloud save data on your account by checking here:
From the Google Drive website, click on the Settings  icon in the upper right corner and head to “Settings”. Then click on “Manage Apps”. Scroll through the list of app and look for “Alto's Odyssey”. It should also say “Hidden app data: ## kB” under the title of the game.

If you don't see an entry for Alto's Odyssey, or if you don't see the "Hidden App Data" under the title, then it seems like something might have gone wrong with your cloud save. This can happen if you play until the phone dies, if you played without a network connection, refused to sign-in with Google Play Games or, for some very tiny number of users, because you were simply very unlucky.

You might notice that the Google Play Games achievements are still unlocked and visible to you. This is unrelated to the save game file, Google handles the achievements separately and in a permanent, write-only manner.
